I actually liked one of your previous charts better than this one, the half-circle. During class I gave the same feedback to someone else who used a pie chart/clock to visualise her travels, which is that a half circle just works a lot better: it has a distinct beginning and an end that are visually clearly seperated from eachother. The problem you get when you use clocks (or other circular designs) is that you read them in a circular fashion, and while the distance in, say, a bar graph between 12 and 1 is as big as can be, on a clock they're only one step removed from eachother. So you end up with the problem that it looks as if the beginning and the end of the destination are right next to eachother. Which brings me about another aspect that's a little curious here (and I'm not sure if that was intentional): it's not even really clear here what the beginning and the end of the journeys are. Even if this was intentional and you wanted it to just be about the travel methods alone and not in what order they happened, it's a little grating. But enough about my hatred for circles and, this part of the feedback might go a bit counter to what I said earlier: why does the grey circle in the center contain so little information? Why not color in at least the outline as if it were a pie chart? Because right now it's even harder to visually read the information, because most of the information isn't even visual - it's all in text! And for something more nit-picky: the lines sticking out aren't aligned to the center, which is just kinda sloppy.
