Eindresultaat Assignment 3

Hierbij het eindresultaat van Karkit To, Peter de Graaf en Rick van de Laar.

Just like you  an element consists  of 3 parts. A proton (+), a neutron and an electron (-).

Depending on the amount of electrons that an element has determents what kind of element it is. These electrons constantly move in different fixed orbits around the core (the proton + neutron). These orbits are called S/P/D/F, and depending how many electrons there are in the different orbits determents what group the element belongs to. By understanding and organizing these groups scientific and medical fields has evolved dramatically through out the last couple of decades.

This electron configurations are a lot like human feelings. The more stable an element is, the more electrons it has in a shell, and visa versa you could almost say that the element is happy. Or when there are almost no electrons in the outer shell, you could say that the element group is unhappy.

So judging on how you feel right now. What kind of element group are you today? And how many electrons does it have in its shell? This is your first step in trying to understand the chemical world.
